HANA start error FAIL: process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running

Hello, I am getting error "FAIL: process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running" while starting SAP HANA DB.

/usr/sap/xxx/HDB00> HDB start

StartService

I try to follow this blog http://saphanawiki.com/2015/08/fail-process-hdbdaemon-hdb-daemon-not-running-in-sap-hana/ case 1 a) seems closest to my issue, i don't understand what does this mean by re-mount /sapmnt/hdb2/hdb00001 and /sapmnt/hdb2/hdb00003?

 

Do i need to create a /sapmnt under root directory and then map these data/log directory links?

This wiki is not clear i have data and log directory in /hana/data/SID/mnt00001 and /hana/log/SID/mnt00001 respectively.

 

tried to implement sap note

2125839 - Error: 'Process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running'. 'Address already in use'

 

I saw lot of open message but no solution.. anybody have solution for this?

How to change the Work hours/period from Monthly to Annually in IT0008

Hi Friends,

 

Can some one please help me to change the Work hours/period from Monthly to Annually in IT0008 (Basic Pay). When we hire an employee and maintian IT0008 the system is automatically taking Work hours/period as Monthly and previously for some countries it used to take as Annaully. This is causing some issue for us in one report. Also, we are not mainating IT0007. Please have a look at the below screen.

 

It should appear as Annaully which correct but it is appearing as Monthly which incorrect.

Learn SAP SRM or Ariba

Dear All,

 

Currently I'm working as a Portal consultant. Coming to my experience, I have considerably good work experience in WebDYnpro ABAP as well. Right now, I'm looking to move to a functional area. I learned SRM functional concepts up to some extent and also worked on some of the enhancements for SRM as a technical consultant. But I've done all this a couple of years back and currently working primarily as a Portal consultant.

 

I'm hearing a lot of news about Ariba now. If I want to plan my career as a function consultant, is it best to learn SRM in depth or should I start learning Ariba.. I'm really confused about this and also surely want to move as a functional consultant. 

 

Can anyone please share your experience and suggest which is a better path for me to choose..

Any guidance is really appreciated .

Problem with accessing Cloud Portal Plugin

Hi,

 

I am trying to access the new Cloud Portal Plugin in the Web IDE, but the plugin seems to be unavailable.

 

As listed in the documentation, I go to the Optional Plugins tab, but under Plugin Repository, the only item in the drop down is SAP Plugins. The new plugin (sap.hcp.portal.plugin) can be found under Cloud Portal.

Is this a subscription issue? Does my trial account not have access to the plugin at all?

Problem with start instance while installation

Hi all,

 

Please help me in solving this installation problem. I've tried installing the setup several times but every time i get this same error that :An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Instance NSP/DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up...

 

I am using Windows server 2008 r2 in a vmware....

.Net Webservice - soap connection runtime error in windows 10

Hi everyone ,

 

I have a problem with windows 10 ,

when I create a soap connection for a .net WebService it shows this error on run-time :

this errors occurs only with Windows 10 , I don't get this error when I run from a previous window version

here is my code :

conn = create SoapConnection 

conn.SetOptions("")

In clause from source table not working

Hi Guys,

 

I have a case, where I used to extract data from table A with following filter(in Query where tab).

 

A.column IN ('A','B','C','D'....(n))

 

I'm passing these values as a global variable. These values tend to change during runtime.

 

$Codes=\'A\',\'B\',\'C\',\'D\'....(n).


Above scenario doesn't work. So,I thought to use pushdown_sql like below.


pushdown_sql('DATASTORE_NAME','A.column  in ({$Codes})').


I'm getting below error.


passed to the function. This function cannot be pushed down. Reorganize the data flow components so that it can be pushed down.


I don't want to use to put those codes in separate table. Kindly help me to get through this.

Hi,

 

Is it possible to consume an XS OData service in a SAP UI5 application?

 

in the init method of the controller I wrote:

ERP options missing in Opportunity Custom Status

Edit Purchasing Group in Trading Goods Material

Hello masters of SAP. i'm a student and recently new in SAP GBI Version 2.40

 

 

in : SAP menu ► Logistics ► Materials Management ► Material Master► Material ► Create (Special) ► Trading Goods

 

i'm making Material EPAD1060 that was copied from EPAD1000

 

but in the "Purchasing Group" attribute, i make mistake. i should input it with my north america its N60, but i input it as default its N00.

 

how can i change this ??

 

i tried to replace it by creating a new one but it says material already exist.

MRP Element RR in transaction Code MD04 not appearing in md_stock_requirements_list_api function module

Hello All,

 

We are working on a custom report and would like to leverage the function module MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API to show the requirements for a specific material.  Essentially, we would like to mimic the requirements that would get returned in MD04.  When we look at this function module, it returns results for all MRP elements that appear in MD04 except for "RR" even though "RR" does show up in MD04 results.  This MRP element is an automotive only option which I'm assuming is why it does not get picked up by this function module, but I am unable to find an alternative.  I also do not see the requirements for this MRP element get picked up in the MDRS table even though all of the other MRP elements used in MD04 do appear there.  I am wondering if there is another function module or SAP table that we can pull the requirements associated with the "RR" MRP Element for our custom report.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Webi Data Duplicating

Hi Expert,

 

I have created an webi report to run based on the input passed from dashboard.

 

The Webi has been created based on BEx query, due to user condition we requested to make two hierarchy filters named as product and  market in webi report level.

 

Functionality: Now the over all requirement is that the user will select the FY, Posting period, plan verison, market(Max 20 values) and product(Max 20 values) and execute the report from dashboard.

 

Issue: Now while doing the data validation I came to know that the values are getting doubled when comparing to BEx.

 

and while analyzing is seems to be that data are aggregating while using the filter in webi level but it is of working fine while using the selection variable from BEx level.

 

Could you please help me on this.

Wage type for plans

In "Technical base" field the required value is not accepted though it is defined.

Is there any t code that helps to bring that value make available in F4 list?

Windows AD Authentication - "Invalid group name, cannot find group"

Hi,

 

I have a customer with a test system which doesn't have Windows AD authentication set up (unlike their production system, which is authenticating correctly), but they would like it set up. Somehow they have managed to migrate some users across with Windows AD aliases, which I have deleted in order to try and get it working, but to no avail.

 

When I go into the Authentication section of the CMC, the Authentication Mode was disabled. If I enable it, and then enter the AD Administration credentials (in the form DOMAIN\serviceaccount) and Default AD Domain (fully qualified), it pauses for a while then tells me:

 

"Invalid group name, cannot find group (S-1-5-21-1891586110-854747954-926709054-9022)."

 

If I click cancel, the Authentication screen does now show the AD administration credentials, but if I click the Update button at the top of the page, it says

 

"The Active Directory plugin does require valid global administration credentials in order to access Active Directory. Please specify administration credentials and try again".

 

If I enter the name of the Windows AD group into "Mapped AD Member Groups" (in the form DOMAIN\business objects) then the group is added correctly in its expanded form in the list, and also added to the list of groups in that section of the CMC; however none of the users is created. This the group that some existing users were members of.

 

Furthermore, the SID of the "business objects" group above is different from the one it is complaining about.

I ran the following query in Query Builder; this simply shows 65 Enterprise groups and one AD group, the business objects one above, and had a different ID (the last four digits are different).

 

SELECT SI_ALIASES FROM CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS WHERE SI_KIND = UserGroup

 

I have confirmation from the system administrator that there is no group or user with the ID ending 9022. I can't see it in the system database, and I can't delete it from the Authentication page as it's not there.

 

Can anyone advise how I can get this phantom group removed from the system?

MATCHCODE for help in ME21N transaction for UNSEZ field of EKKO table

Hi Experts,

 

I tried to create a matchcode for UNSEZ field in ME21N transaction, I found a lot of examples and indications but no one of these examples works..

All the examples are using LIKP table and in that table all works correctly but in EKKO table doesn't.

 

One of the links that I follow is: La Esquina del Abapero: Agregar ayuda de busqueda al campo de una dynpro estandar

 

Also I try to resolve this problem by some Exit, BADI, Enhancement but for this transaction I can't find any one that solve my problem.

 

I create without problems in LIKP:

Can't open Account Balance for certain users.

Dear Experts,

 

     We have a certain problem here, one of our End-User cannot open the Account Balance for Customers and in the Chart of Account (SAP Business One hangs). while other users are working properly(Same hardware specs). tried re-installing B1 and updating windows .NET but still no improvement, server connection is good.

     am i  missing an update or a process?
